The Junior Web Designer will work alongside the existing web team to assist developing and designing websites for clients. This role will include taking initial designs, made by the Lead Designer, and bringing them to life, building on Yootheme Builder to outwork the designs and using software’s such as Joomla and Wordpress. Building assets for websites and the development of existing website designs will also be involved when redesigning pages for existing clients, so it important that the candidate has good attention to detail.

This role will not only allow the right candidate to express creativity but also gain experience and knowledge of how website works technically. This will involve the development of the websites from a coding perspective. The Junior Web Designer will be working with CSS, JavaScript and HTML to develop websites, so that they are high functioning and rate highly on SEO on Google.

This job will be mainly remote home working, with a team day once a month in Newark, Nottinghamshire. However, there may be other occasional days that require attendance at the Newark office too. Team days happen at Everyday Champions Centre in Newark, NG24 2AG and the Office is based at Unit 3, Farrar Close, Brunel Drive, Newark, NG24 2EQ.

9-5pm Monday to Thursday with 30 mins unpaid lunch.

National Minimum Wage

There will be regular morning team meetings which require good timekeeping and attendance. Team work is essential in this company as there are multiple elements that go into designing and developing a website, so the Junior Web Designer will play a part in these projects alongside the rest of the team. Clear communication is also vital as everyone needs to be on the same page throughout the projects, and whilst working from home, communication is essential.
