JOB SUMMARY
We have been supporting retailers throughout the UK and Ireland since 2005, when our founder and retail expert, Peter O’Toole, set up Retail Merchandising Services (RMS). Peter spotted a gap in the merchandising market whereby retailers required teams of skilled, flexible workers to fill shifts whenever required. By building a highly trained workforce, RMS was able to provide staff around the country, adapting teams for different retailers’ needs.
Since our inception, we’ve grown significantly year-on-year to become one of the UK’s leading specialist merchandising solutions provider. Our clients include retail giants such as John Lewis, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Boots, WH Smith and B&Q. Alongside these big, well-loved brands, we also work with small and medium-sized businesses. We can scale our support up and down depending on the requirements of our retail partners. We’ve supplied thousands of staff and successfully delivered hundreds of projects across the UK and Ireland and consistently strive to create a fantastic shopping experience and to increase sales for our clients.

The key responsibilities for the role will include but are not limited to:
Fill areas of Ambient, Fresh and Frozen Foods as directed by the Team Leader/Store Section Manager to the agreed RMS standards, working with pace and productivity, Replenish all fixtures to RMS’s display standard, Carry out all warehouse functions, safe and timely movement of stock, Where directed, unload stock from vehicles in a safe manner, in line with Store Operating Procedures, Ensure the safe movement of stock to and from the shop floor, Ensure all rubbish and empty cages are cleared from the shop floor on a regular basis, Assist Store Colleagues, when requested with the stowing of warehouse stock to RMS’s standard, Manage the disposal of waste, Ensure back of house areas are kept clear and tidy at all times, Ensure the cold chain is maintained at all times when working in Fresh/Frozen Foods, Staff may also be asked by the Store/Team Leader to perform additional tasks not listed in the above.
The roles will be based all over the areas of South Wales , South West, Greater London, South East and North West. Shared transport may be offered.

3 x 12 hour shifts / Days and Nights - to be agreed.

Ability to work away from home fully expensed

SKILLS NEEDED
Driving Licence is desirable
Retail experience is desirable
Merchandising experience is desirable
Able to work away from home is desirable which would be fully expensed

WORKING HOURS
0800 to 2000 and 2000 to 0800 Shifts to be agreed

HOURLY RATE
£9.50

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
Our Gateway (Talented Recruitment Group Limited) will be providing the following training and documentation as part of our Kickstart Agreement:
Onboarding Support
This includes documents to assist with time keeping, attendance tracking and weekly reporting.
Teamwork Programmes
This includes suggested methods to build the young workers engagement with the team and help improve skills such as communication, confidence in presenting to an audience and demonstration of learning and development about a given subject.
CV Creation and Support
A CV creation guide is included which is designed to guide a young worker through the creation of a CV from scratch. We work with the young worker to compose their CV and submit this to the Gateway who review the CV and return with feedback for improvement and suggested amends.
Interview Support
Upon completion of the CV tasks, the Gateway design a mock interview process where the young worker will be interviewed via Microsoft Teams by one of the Gateway’s recruitment consultants. A full review of the interview including areas for improvement and areas of strengths are then provided to each young worker to help them with their future interviews
