Solent Shoes Limited

Solent Shoes is a shoes and accessories shop for men and women, specialising in wider fittings and shoe fitting.
You will play an important role in ensuring our customers have a pleasant and relaxing shoe shopping experience.
You will be answering questions about various footwear using authentic sales skills and assisting the owner with selections and tidying away.
Working alongside the owner to eventually measure and fit adult feet with the opportunity to gain a qualification in shoe fitting for all ages.
Customer service is our number one priority and you will be trained to assist customers, use the till, stock take and upload information to our sales side of the website.
You will help in creating new displays in the shop and the shop window. General duties will include light cleaning in the shop such as dusting displays and keeping the shop generally clean and tidy.
If you love shoes and think you will enjoy helping people that normally find it difficult to find footwear – this could be the role for you!

No prior experience necessary, however it would be beneficial for the candidate to be computer literate.

10 am -3pm Tuesday to Saturday


An opportunity to gain a qualification in shoe fitting in association with The Society of Shoefitters. Includes a distance learning course (no exams) over a 6 month period.
A public facing role offering experience and training in a retail environment working alongside the owner.
Including training on the till and back office inventory system, stock taking and online sales software which will be leart over the course of the working days within the shop.
Transferable skills which could be used in most retail environments.
