JOB SUMMARY
As an Estates Assistant, you will learn about all aspects of Estates, Facilities Management and Physical Security within a water sector environment. The role will involve working closely in a team to support the department managers with the day to day running of the Estates and Facilities Department.

Data entry for building a security key and lock database 

Preparing drawings, plans and data 

Using GIS and AIC to gather data 

Input to SharePoint sites and record databases 

Preparing internal media statement and information

Collating data and information from sources across the business

SKILLS NEEDED
Experience of working in an administrative support role
Experience with MS Office applications and SharePoint
Experience of using data management systems
Experience with Social Media
Good IT skills are essential 
Excellent organisational and administrative skills
To be proactive and self-motivated 
High standard of written and verbal communication
Strong interpersonal skills 
Uses own initiative and works collaboratively within a team
Ability to effectively liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Capacity to deal with issues in a professional manner

WORKING HOURS
to be agreed with line manager upon appointment

HOURLY RATE
National minimum wage

Job Specific Training
All Kickstarter’s will complete the ‘Getting Started’ training plan and the business areas have provided us with details of role specific training and training plans have been created for each role.

Kickstart Scheme Training
We have created 6-month Kickstart training program to help placement holders develop their skills which will be delivered by the Customer Service Training Team. They will also be given a pack at the start of the programme to fill in throughout the programme and be able to keep for future use after their placement.
Check-in meeting will be held with managers and placement holder’s half-way through the programme to review progress so far.

All training is provided by our in house training department either through an online course or face to face
