JOB SUMMARY
Gower View Foods Ltd is a leading food manufacturer based in Carmarthenshire supplying many of the major retailers and food service providers throughout the UK. Due to our recent and continued levels of growth and expansion we are now actively seeking applicants for the position of Process Support Operative to work in a fast-paced modern manufacturing environment based at our purpose-built factory in Cross Hands. Main duties will include providing support to the senior process and machine operators, carrying out manual handling activities as and when required, working as part of a team in the production area producing own label and customer branded products, and adhering to customer specification, food safety and health and safety regulations. This vacancy is available for immediate start and various progression opportunities are available for the right individuals.

SKILLS NEEDED
Experience in a food manufacturing environment desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. The ability to work as part of a team or independently is essential and flexibility in the role is required in meeting customer demand.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
We will receive employability support through Pembrokeshire College, we will adhere to the criteria listed in the kickstart guidance including attendance, timekeeping, communication, teamwork, travelling to work along with helping to support to look for long-term work including career advice and setting up goals.
The employability department within Pembrokeshire College, has a dedicated team of experienced employability mentors who will be on hand to assist with support, advice & guidance for the incoming trainee. The college is able to signpost where needed and enable each individual to access the upskilling requirements that they desire. The college will provide employability support by helping each individual with creating good quality CVs, interview skills, completing job applications, confidence building, telephone skills, essential key skills, job searching and career advice. Through specially designed training packages, the college will also help to instil a good work ethic in the general labourers, including skills such as punctuality, reliability and team work. The college will also keep records of achievement for the incoming general labourers so that at the end of their placement they will have evidence of learning and upskilling that they can use to their benefits for future employment. The college has a dedicated team available should the general labourers need help and assistance in finding long term work after the kickstart placements have ended.
