JOB SUMMARY
Support clients to get around in the community, by providing transport or using public transport
Maintain client hobbies and interests, such as going to the cinema, swimming etc
Engage with and form close relationships with family, carers, healthcare professionals on a regular basis
Monitor health for example measuring body temperatures or administering medication.
Support with personal care
Report any changes in physical/emotional/health condition to the manager.
Take an active part in meetings/training events when required.
Maintain professional knowledge and competence and understand the relevant care sector regulations.
Fully understand and implement the Health and Safety policy and emergency/fire procedures.
Report any faulty appliances, damaged furniture or equipment together with any accidents.
Promote safe working practice in the facility and ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Ensure all Company Policy and Procedures are adhered to.
Attend to any other duties that may reasonably be required by the Service Manager or the Senior Management Team.

WORKING HOURS
Monday to Saturday from 9am. Shift pattern to be agreed Saturdays are not always required.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
PRS gives the individual the skills and confidence to enter the workplace. Following an induction, the individual will understand work roles and responsibilities, and match skills and interests to real job requirements. The individual will practice new skills, roles and responsibilities in a supportive environment, enabling them to become natural and familiar within a new workplace and keeping them interested and engaged. Individuals will learn and develop work skills such as; timekeeping, attendance, communication, teamwork, travelling to work etc.

The individual will understand supervision and appraisal support provided by mentors to enable each individual to review their own performance with regards to roles and responsibilities, timekeeping, attendance, communication, teamwork, travelling to work, etc. Where necessary have an agreed action plan in place to improve performance in that area.

Individuals will receive mandatory training relating to each role e.g.;
Health & Safety in the Workplace,
Infection Control (including Covid-19),
Moving & Handling,
First Aid,
Food Safety & Hygiene,
Safeguarding,
Prevent.

PRS prepares the individual for work placement and experience. The individual will learn real skills that they can confidently present to employers, and understand more about the workplace. PRS helps the individual to develop:
their own CV
practical work skills and interview techniques
self-confidence
understanding what employers want
