Trust Payments is a leading Fintech payments company. Their mission is to help businesses optimise their customer experience by providing speedy and seamless payments that are both online and in person. This includes options to manage customer data and loyalty.
Trust Payments are really excited about helping young people to gain work experience and grow their careers through the Kickstart scheme. They plan to take on more than 50 Kickstart placements and hope that the majority of placements will turn into permanent positions for the young people to develop real careers and grow with the business. They have even invested in employing a dedicated Kickstart Project Manager who will be responsible for ensuring that the Kickstarters have all the training and support they need. Each Kickstarter will also be assigned a placement supervisor and work buddy to ensure they always have someone to turn to with questions. For those candidates who are interested, there will also be opportunities to visit other offices in the group – currently in London, Malta, Bangor and Harrogate.
All of the Trust Payments Kickstart roles are entry level and they don’t expect you to have any experience doing a similar role. Full training and support will be given, and there will always be other team members available to answer questions and offer assistance.
Job Purpose:
The Commercial Support Trainee will assist the commercial team with the day to day support of their clients. You will perform administrative tasks and provide day to day support to front line sales teams keeping the database updated and eventually supporting client queries.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders as required.
Grow your knowledge and skills and start to specialise in sales support
Attend internal meetings and help to provide solutions to a range of commercial problems.
Build a deep product knowledge of Trust Payments offering and of the payments industry.
Collaborate with teams across the group providing support services to the commercial function.
Learn to adapt and operate in a challenging and fast paced environment.
Work with and start to learn how to use business systems
Work with peers and provide ad-hoc commercial support to colleagues as required.

This role can be done from home but you must have an ability to get to the Harrogate office occasionally once lockdown restrictions are eased.
Whilst most of Trust Payments staff are working from home at present due to local guidelines, our Covid secure offices have still been open for people who can’t work from home. We’ve hired and on boarded more than 70 people virtually since the pandemic started and have grown significantly as a business. Our plan is to exceed that in 2021 and a further 100+ people across our many locations.
We’ve adapted our ways of working to ensure that new starters that join feel part of one big virtual team. From regular meetings, to coffee mornings and dedicated mental health days, we want to ensure we put the needs of our employees first, during such difficult times. Feedback from our new hires has been really positive, they love our on boarding programme and how much it makes them feel integrated into Trust from the start.

WORKING HOURS
09:00-17:30 with 1-hour lunch break

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
All applicants will be given free access to the Exemplia Training Portal which is filled with useful training materials, advice and tools to help build confidence throughout the application process. Once in the placement, training will be as follows:
Week 1 – 121 with employer and job coach
Week 2 – Training course on Communication Skills in the Workplace (with a particular focus on the use of technology for remote working/communication/engagement) followed by 121
Week 3 – Training course on Timekeeping followed by 121.
Week 4 - Training course on Team Working, followed by 121.
Week 5 – Training course on Confidence in the Workplace followed by 121.
Month 2 – 121 with job coach and employer to review training and performance so far, and identify any skills gaps or areas for development/extra support.
Month 3 – Further 121 with job coach and employer to review placement so far and identify any need for extra support or development.
Month 4 – week 1 - Training course on how to write an effective CV, followed by 121 with job coach.
Month 4 – week 3 – Training course on how to perform well in an interview, followed by 121.
Month 5 – week 1 – 121 with job coach and employer to discuss plans for exiting the placement.
For those participants whose kickstart placements do not result in employment, we will offer the following additional support:
Month 5 Week 2 – 121 to discuss their career goals and assist with writing a plan to achieve this. Review of their CV and practical support.
Month 5 Week 3 – Training course on how to use Job Boards, Google and LinkedIn to search for jobs. Followed by 121.
Month 5 Week 4 - 121 support with writing and creating impactful profiles on the major job boards and LinkedIn.
Month 6– Weekly 121 review of job searching activities.
