We seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Catering to join our team at Central Bedfordshire College.
The successful candidate will deliver outstanding courses which meet learner needs through the use of a diverse range of teaching and learning strategies, allowing learners to access a comprehensive range of resources and providing comprehensive assessment opportunity.
You will be required to teach Level 1 to 3 Professional Cookery classes and would be responsible for a course/courses of study and learner outcomes.
Communicating effectively and working as a part of a wider team is a key part of this position.
Key Person Specification Requirements:
- Minimum of level 3 qualification in Professional Cookery
- 5 years professional industry experience as a chef
- Level 2 qualification in maths and English
- Up to date industry standard vocational skills
- Assessor and IQA qualified
Central to the work you do will be enabling students to aspire beyond their initial intention and reach a potential that equips them to progress into work, higher education or apprenticeships. You will use IT to enhance your working practices as well as learning opportunities for learners. You will manage your time well and meet deadlines.
