The Opportunity:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer focussed administrator to join the busy Registration team at the Centre for Open Learning. The post is responsible for coordination and administrative support for finance and accommodation activities, related to programme admissions including (but not limited to) English Language Education; International Seasonal Schools; Access; Certificate of Higher Education; and contract groups.

The skills and attributes required:

Vocational Qualifications (N/SVQ 3, ONC or equivalent) plus 2 years’ relevant work experience; or School education to standard grade or equivalent plus 3 years’ relevant work experience. (N/SVQ 2/3), ONC or equivalent.
The ability to work within a team as an individual, organising and planning own work activities, with minimal supervision.
Demonstrable communication, with an ability to communicate across an international student demographic.
Analytical and problem-solving ability. Ability to take initiative within agreed guidelines.
Demonstrable ability to employ tact and diplomacy.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft software suite and the ability to learn to utilise a range of systems/software.
Proven ability to multi-task, excellent time management skills and high level of attention to detail.
Innovative and adaptable. Able to respond quickly and efficiently to a challenging and unpredictable workload.
The post will be campus based at Paterson’s Land on Holyrood Road, although a hybrid working transition period is currently in place (a mixture of working from home and in office).
