A local authority based in Bromley are recruiting for an Environmental Health Officer to join their team. This is an ongoing temporary contract.
The main purpose of the role is to undertake public health complaint work within divisional policies and programmes and to meet statutory responsibilities. To undertake specific responsibilities with regards to Statutory nuisance and anti-social behaviour.
To investigate all relevant service requests in accordance with Divisional procedures and ensure that remedial action is undertaken. To specifically carry out statutory nuisance and anti-social behaviour complaint investigations and take enforcement action where necessary in accordance with relevant legislation.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;
Relevant professional qualification (CIEH, EHRB etc).
Experience working within Environmental Health, ideally covering noise and nuisance complaints.
