An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the multidisciplinary Respiratory Department at the University Hospitals Bristol & Weston NHS Foundation Trust at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
The Lung Function team provides a full range of respiratory diagnostic tests to both adult and paediatric patients. You will be expected to perform and report on a range of lung function tests, including cardiopulmonary exercise tests.
As well as carrying out clinical investigations the role will involve deputising for the Lead Clinical Physiologists, assisting with service development, providing supervision and ongoing education for other members of staff and students on placement within the department.
The ideal applicant will have a BSc or MSc in Clinical Physiology or Healthcare Science specialising in Respiratory, an equivalent qualification or relevant experience in a respiratory department. You will have successfully completed ARTP professional exams or be working towards this and be on an appropriate professional register or actively seeking registration.
You should have the ability to work flexibly, be able to work with your own initiative and enjoy working as part of a team. A keen eye for detail and accuracy is also required. You will be expected to work closely with other healthcare professionals including respiratory consultants, nurses and physiotherapists.
