JOB SUMMARY
You will be working in a fast-paced retail environment and must be willing to give the very best customer service experience to our customers.

The emphasis will be on service. This is not just a standing filling shelves type of job. If you enjoy an environment where you can really engage with the customer, then this could be the opportunity for you.

The placement will be varied, from replenishing stock to engaging with customers to help them find their ideal products.

You will need to have to have a flexible approach as there will be times when you will be supporting other areas of the Store to meet the business needs.

Previous retail experience is NOT essential. We have the all the necessary support and training to get you up to speed and delivering excellent service.

During the placement you will be supported in achieving performance standards against the following units:

• Give Customer Service
• Knows the product
• Sells the product
• Merchandise the product
• Operates the till point
• Maintains retail standards
• Deal with stock management
• Prevents loss
• Contributes to health & safety
• Works towards business goals

SKILLS NEEDED
No previous experience or qualifications required

However potential candidates should have a flexible approach and a willingness to learn

WORKING HOURS
Monday to Saturday 9.00am to 8.00pm & Sunday 10.30am to 4.30pm - hours to be decided.

HOURLY RATE
National Minimum Wage

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
All Kickstart employees will be fully inducted into their roles within their respective Stores

Till training will also be provided

All Kickstart employees will also be supported in the workplace with an appointed store “buddy” who will be able to provide guidance on a day to day basis

All Kickstart employees will be mentored by the respective Store Manager

The Store Manager will conduct 1-2-1 sessions with each Kickstart employee every two weeks where progress against the 10 performance units, detailed above in the placement summary section, will be assessed

In the last 4 weeks of the placement our Store Managers will provide coaching related to interview skills. Activities will include reviewing and updating CVs, practice interviews, etc
