JOB SUMMARY
This is an exciting opportunity to learn new skills and gain valuable experience whilst working in a school environment.

The ICT Assistant will provide support to facilitate the use of IT systems throughout a school. They will assist teaching staff and pupils in dealing with IT-related problems and tackle any issue that may arise.

They will provide front-line technical support to teachers and pupils as needed, assisting with the set-up of online tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom. They will support permanent staff in ensuring hardware and software systems are kept updated and fully functional. They will assist permanent staff with the purchase and instalment of new equipment and will collaborate with the administration team as required.

SKILLS NEEDED
Applicants will have an understanding of and interest in IT systems, both hardware and software, and will be proficient in Microsoft Office. They will have an aptitude for online platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom. They will have excellent problem-solving skills and good written and oral communication skills. They will have an interest in a career in education, ICT, administration or operations. The ideal applicants will also have an aptitude for providing technical support in at least one area of ICT and experience in customer service (this is desirable, not essential).

Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 3pm

The third module will enable you to further develop key employability skills, such as professional writing, critical thinking and communication skills. You will also be encouraged to start planning the future steps of your career.
