You’ll provide support to our busy Shop Support Team by being a point of contact for our shop teams, focused on providing a friendly and helpful support service.

You’ll deal with a wide variety of shop queries including ingredient, shop order and delivery queries, IT issues as well as questions about uniform orders and refuse collections. You will also contact shops to provide updates on the likes of system updates.

You’ll respond to shops by email or over the phone and will be trained to use our in-house shop support system to receive and log details accurately as well as how to use email and Office 365.

You’ll develop your listening and problem-solving skills to understand shop queries and by following training guidelines, resolve them as quickly as possible. You’ll build on your communication skills by responding to queries (both verbal and written).

Additional responsibilities may include other administrative tasks required to support the team including, for example, data input.

You’ll gain experience of working within a busy team at Greggs Head Office and the skills needed to successfully work in an office environment including attendance and time-management skills.

We are looking for friendly individuals with a positive attitude.

You’ll need to be computer literate (or a quick learner) and have a friendly telephone manner.

Customer support experience always comes in handy but it’s not essential as we will support you with great training every step of the way.

Monday to Saturday (Between 6:30am & 6:30pm) Sunday (Between 9:00am & 5:00pm) Shifts to be agreed.

Above national minimum wage:£11,800 pa (£16,500 FTE)

You’ll receive 1:1 training on our Shop Support system (Hornbill) and how to deal with different types of queries.

You’ll be assigned a buddy from the Shop Support Team to support you in the role and to be on hand for any questions as well as providing guidance throughout your placement with regular reviews and check-ins.

You’ll be given access to internal e-learning training modules and employability support modules on areas such as:
Working as Part of a Team.
Goal Setting.
Preparing for the Job Market.
CV Writing.
Interview Skills.
Starting a New Job.
