Role Model

Ensure stock room and fitting room standards are maintained.
Help create and maintain effective working relationships with all of your colleagues.
Assist colleagues when necessary and as directed.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve results.
Be knowledgeable about our product offering.
Actively promote add on sales.
Support with the implementation of visual merchandising guidelines.

Strong communications and organisation skills would be an advantage.
Enthusiastic and energetic individual.
Can confidently communicate with different people.
Self-motivated and committed to learning new skills.
Is able to confidently use a PC and Microsoft applications.
Willingness to work and embrace the Matalan values.

25 spread over 7 days. There will be occasional evening and weekend work required


Qube Learning will be providing the wrap around support and employability training to the successful applicant. This will be delivered remotely via Teams at regular intervals throughout the 6 months. It will be delivered on a 121 basis up to 18 hours per month (2 x visits). Reviews will be completed on each visit and this will include employer feedback.
The employability training will include the following topics:
Welcome to your Kickstart Programme. Personal Development Plan. Health & Safety. CV Writing. Self-Care and Mental Health.
The wrap around support will also include remote master classes in various topics, such as Customer Service, Being a team player etc. Accredited online training will also be available to those that want to obtain a nationally recognised qualification.
