JOB SUMMARY
Initially all duties will be carried out at the Dome site, some opportunity will also be available to work at the Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre. If Lifeguard training is undertaken in the future, the opportunity to work at other sites across Doncaster will also be an option.
General Duties: Operate a variety of IT equipment in relation to booking/attendance systems, payment systems for retail/catering products.
Catering Duties: Be friendly, sociable and welcoming to all customers, acknowledging their arrival and departure in the venue/outlet and create a great atmosphere.
Lifeguarding Duties: Ensure regular attendance at Pool/Staff training sessions in line with the procedure. Demonstrate good observation skills by keeping a close watch over the pool and the pool users, exercising the appropriate level of control and supervision.
Ice Marshalling Duties: Have a basic skating ability or be prepared to learn. Demonstrate good observation skills by maintaining a close watch over the ice and all skaters, exercising the appropriate level of control and supervision.
Dry Sports: Carry out the efficient and effective layout of halls and other areas as directed. Prepare, set up, dismantle, move and store equipment, furnishings, etc in a safe and efficient manner.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
As a 'team member' within DCLT the young person will be expected to follow the company policies and procedures. Full training will be given regarding their responsibilities during induction, this will include clocking in and out, consequences of failing to arrive on time and also the policy for attendance, including reporting mechanisms.

We pride ourselves on how we value our staff and within our multi-site environment we have great teamworking ethics, we hope this will encourage the young person to thrive within our workplace. DCLT is also a registered Training Provider and we have completed many employability programmes with our local job centre to support people into work.

This includes route planning and sourcing support for travel with any local schemes. Preparing CV's and carrying out interviews with a view to sourcing continued employment.

We will use our expertise to support the young person throughout. We would hope that after the placement the young person would want to apply to work with DCLT having spent 6 months working within the organisation.

If they would prefer to work within another sector we will support them with their applications, interview preparation and help remove any barriers to getting to the interview such as route planning and self management of their time
