JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Sound and Lighting Technician will be trained in the use of a Yamaha 16 chanel sound desk and a computerised Alto touch screen stage lighting rig. They will learn how to set up a stage and develop knowledge of basic equipment maintenance. They will aspire to sound checking Bands and Artists and learn the differing aspects on music genres and sound they generate. The applicant must be willing to work unsociable hours usually from 4pm – 10.30pm at weekends, be punctual, presentable, interested in all genres of music, be outgoing, sociable and a good communicator with Artists and audience.
This role may suit an aspiring musician but this is not a stipulation.
The successful candidate will be given a basic grounding in how a Live Music venue is ran from Bar management, promotions, dealing with bookings, agents Promotion companies and Artists culminating in the Live gig.

SKILLS NEEDED
No qualifications are necessary although previous experience be it college courses or on the job experience would be an advantage.
As the Venue is Licenced premises the candidate would need to be 18+
A musical background would be essential, again an aspiring musician or someone with good knowledge of the local music scene would be favourable

WORKING HOURS
Friday 4pm-10.30pm Saturday 4pm-10.30pm Sunday 4pm-10.30pm

The successful applicant will be integrated into our team and persons within the industry who are always around our premises. They will be given the opportunity to learn from ourselves be given the opportunity and be encouraged to suggest their own ideas and systems of work.
They will be trained in the requirements of our business by ourselves, take advice and guidance from visiting sound and lighting techs, Bands and Artists which will stand them in good stead going forward into the music industry.
Having Little Buildings on their CV will make them an attractive proposition to other local venues.
