Working in one of our 1,700 managed pubs, hotels or restaurants, you will work across the kitchen, bar, restaurant functions and greet customers on arrival. If you apply for one of our hotel positions, you will have the opportunity to work in housekeeping and reception as well. This role provides an amazing opportunity to work in a fun and challenging environment to gain the skills, knowledge and experience you need to kick start a career in hospitality.
Main responsibilities will include - Working effectively as part of a team and support the General Manager. Ensuring the bar, restaurant and kitchen is clean, tidy and hygienic at all times. Welcoming customers and answering any questions they may have. Preparing food and drinks for customers. Serving food and drinks at the table. Processing payments. Giving customers a positive impression of yourself and Greene King. Processing check ins and outs and deal with enquiries. Cleaning bedrooms and bathrooms to a high standard. Carrying out instructions as given by management and head office. Adhering to company policies, procedures and licensing laws. Attending and contributing at all team meetings. The successful candidate will Display a positive, proactive, can do attitude to delivering an excellent service to our customers. Enjoy working as part of a team. Have good communication skills. Be passionate and willing to learn. Be reliable, flexible and punctual.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
As well as the General Manager and your colleagues in the pub, hotel or restaurant, you will also be supported with the following - Day to Day support from your line manager and or other colleagues on shift. Dedicated Kickstart Advisor at Greene King. Monthly 121 with your line manager. Regular team meetings. Access to the internal training platform. Access to our partners training platform. Dedicated Development Coach supporting your progress and delivering the following sessions - Session 1 Understanding the Kickstart Scheme. Session 2 SWOT and SMART Targets. Session 3 Communication and Building Relationships. Session 4 Team Working. Session 5 Personal Development Plans. Session 6 Employability Skills.
For successful candidates who complete the 6-month Kickstart placement, you will have the opportunity to not only secure permanent employment with Greene King, but also continue your development by starting on our award-winning apprenticeship programme
