Pre-school Learning Alliance

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established childcare and education provider, where your contribution will have a direct impact on children’s education and wellbeing.

The role will be to provide play and learning opportunities for all children attending the childcare setting and to maintain a safe, enjoyable environment. Working as part of a team, you will be supporting other staff to deliver care that will enhance the children’s general health and well-being and contributes to the development of children.

You will learn how to assist in providing a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for children that cover all areas of the children’s development. Supporting the setting in a variety way that will include assisting with meeting the nutritional requirements of children through snack preparation, supervision during mealtimes and keeping a clean and safe environment.

No formal qualification is required but previous experience with young children would be an advantage.
Candidates will need to show a commitment to engage with young children and the ability to work as a part of a team.
Good oral communication skills are required with the ability to use their own initiative.
Candidates will have a good customer awareness demonstrating a friendly flexible approach.
They will show a willingness to learn and develop skills essential to the workplace.

Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00 pm.

As a result of the wide varying structures to the organisation, we can offer significant variety in these roles and ultimately offer a great team working environment with lots of hands-on support to candidates including a dedicated mentor for each candidate. As well as employability support, we can offer practical workplace skills such as using IT programmes effectively and give a better understanding of early education in England. Our wide-ranging training course are also accessible such as wellbeing for employees and soft skills including effective teamwork and manging personal finance courses.

Candidates will have a placement workbook which supports them through the 6 months including details of training available that will be delivered in groups (with other Kickstart candidates) as well as independently through the organisations own online training systems. Their mentor will always be on hand to guide them on the job as well as discussions about their wellbeing and time in the work placement.

Our centralised HR team will provide employability training and support of all candidates which will include, Researching jobs, CV writing, interview techniques, applications forms to career development advice
