Purpose of Role: To assist the service with admin, research, marketing and publicity tasks:

Twitter research- research twitter output to identify relevant posts to inform E&S digital content
Assist with E&S monthly News and Views publication
Assist with social media scheduling and posting
Assist with case study development and production
Data and record management support: Onefile/e-assessor
Publicity and marketing design support
General web site admin and support
Marketing research
Something to assist with apprentice process basic admin tasks

SKILLS NEEDED
Confidence with oral, digital and written communication skills. Teamwork and interest in what the team does.
Creativity.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
The placement will begin with a diagnostic with the successful candidate. We will look at their current skills and areas of interest and build a learning and development plan around this.

They will be supported by a dedicated workplace mentor (experienced member of staff) who will provide ongoing support and guidance. They will coordinate a schedule for the candidate to sample all areas of delivery and help them to progress in their specific areas of interest. The mentor will support the candidate with tasks until they are confident in carrying them out independently. Alongside this work shadowing with different members of the team will take place and provide the candidate with a flavour of all areas of our work.

The successful candidate will be provided with access to the Council’s Learning Pool with a wide range of training provision from mandatory training such as safeguarding to broader opportunities to enhance their skills and develop them in the workplace.

The candidate will be supervised at all times and will have a monthly 1-1 meeting with their manager to provide feedback, track progress and improvement. Support provided will cover the skills required to develop employability prospects and enable candidates to pursue future career opportunities. We will provide a combination of work place and job search skills throughout the placement with ongoing advice on progression routes.

The North of Tyne Combined Authority, as the designated Gateway, will signpost additional opportunities for training and qualification to the employer to support the young person in their development.
