The Role
The Golf Sales and Hospitality Assistant is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager & Assistant Golf Professional with the day-to-day operations of the golf shop and services department by administering the day-to-day golf shop duties, such as opening and closing, answering calls and making golf reservations. This position is also responsible for the assisting with the maintenance of the golf course’s cart fleet, as well as, building maintenance.

Training & Uniform Provision
You will be trained in the delivery of Golf to our customers to include reservation systems, basic food hygiene, stock control, Epos systems and cash handling. Ability to work within a team, event management and customer service will make you valuable to future employers and sustainable employment. Workplace on the job mentor will be allocated to the Kickstarter along with uniform and appropriate PPE provided, where applicable.

CV Writing & Presentation: guidance in researching your prospective employer and the position; support in planning, writing, and presenting your CV; and what to include on your cover letters and application forms.

Peer Networking: advice on creating your LinkedIn Profile, from appropriate photography to writing a compelling “About” section, in order to connect with valuable industry contacts, potential employers, and finding suitable employment opportunities.

Job-seeking: advice and guidance in searching for employment opportunities online and offline; in utilising such employment and vacancy websites as effectively; in approaching recruitment agencies; in employing professional networking to encounter work opportunities; and in creating speculative applications.

Full technical and tutor support is provided for Kickstarters should further individual support be required to complete the training. Access to an employability coach is made available to Kickstarter on request via online learning portal.
