The Company
Tenby Golf Club is one of the true gems of Wales’s idyllic south-west coast. Set among a patchwork of rolling green terrain and wild dunes, Tenby boasts a classic 18-hole links course and a variety of challenges which will test golfers at every level. We are looking for enthusiastic people who love being able to work outside in beautiful surroundings to join our Green keeping Team.

The Role
This new role has been created to support the Course Manager in presenting and maintaining the Course, Clubhouse surrounds and Range to a high standard for its Members and Guests. Your duties will be to help in all areas of green keeping and horticultural works, which will include grass cutting, setting up the Course, identifying pests & diseases, applying top dressing and other gardening and cleaning duties.

Training & Uniform Provision
An excellent opportunity to learn the basics of turf management and grounds maintenance whilst working in a closely knit team. These skills will be valuable to many potential employers to many businesses and sustainable employment. A Workplace on the job mentor will be allocated to the Kickstarter to help with this position along with Uniform and appropriate PPE where applicable.

Willingness to work outside in all types of weather
Preferred:
Reliable with good time keeping and time management
Teamwork skills but also able to work on own
Good attention to detail

WORKING HOURS
Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends

Peer Networking: advice on creating your LinkedIn Profile, from appropriate photography to writing a compelling “About” section, in order to connect with valuable industry contacts, potential employers, and finding suitable employment opportunities.

Job-seeking: advice and guidance in searching for employment opportunities online and offline; in utilising such employment and vacancy websites as Indeed.co.uk effectively; in approaching recruitment agencies; in employing professional networking to encounter work opportunities; and in creating speculative applications.

Interview Preparation & Practice: support in preparing effectively in anticipation of various types of interviews and questions; and in establishing positive first impressions, comporting oneself throughout, and asking proactive and intelligent questions at the end.

Full technical and tutor support is provided for Kickstarters should further individual support be required to complete the training. Access to an employability coach is made available to Kickstarter on request via online learning portal.
