The School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences wishes to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, qualified to PhD level, in the field of pharmaceutical science. Candidates should have analytical/bioanalytical expertise, that can be applied to the areas of pharmaceutical science, biomedical science, pharmacology and pharmacy.
You will be expected to make an active contribution to the research profile of the school and complement and strengthen our existing expertise in both research and a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. These include BSc (Hons) Pharmacology, MPharm (Hons) Pharmacy, PgCert Independent Prescribing for Pharmacists, Medical Biotechnology and other related subjects. You will lead the delivery of high quality teaching material and contribute to curriculum design especially in the area of pharmaceutics within the School. You should have a good record of publishing in peer reviewed journals and ideally have some success in obtaining research funding.
You will have drive, an innovative and engaging approach to learning, teaching and research, and enjoy working collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Although the post is available as either a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer only one appointment will be made. Please note each post has a different person specification/ job description. The successful applicant will be appointed on the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer scale in accordance with qualifications and experience.
