Duties: Manual work. General maintenance and cleansing of streets including manual sweeping or litter picking. Collection and removal of waste, removal of weeds, dirt, detritus and leaves, removal of fly posting, fly tipping, graffiti and dog fouling. Must have a resilience for working outdoors in all weather conditions.
7am to 3pm Mon to Fri
ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
Employment Mentor / Liason support. will support the young person for the duration of the placement to provide intensive 1-2-1 support whilst in the role. Support will be personalised and focused on the needs of the young person during the placement to progress them into sustainable employment.. Tried and tested processes will be in place to monitor progress regularly through monthly reviews with participants and employers.
In-work mentoring support;
A tailored and personalised mentoring programme of support based on the individual needs through 1-2-1s;
Support with continued employability skills such as team work, time keeping, travel to work, attendance, communication, team work, confidence building, motivational sessions, organisation, workplace behaviour and expectation and communication skills;
Identify and evaluate areas for personal development and further potential barriers to employment such as motivational needs and relevant training to develop skills as required;
Training will be personalised, relevant and aligned to labour market information and jobs available in the locality;
Support to maximise the experience and skills gained from the placement;
training and employment opportunities for young people are maximised. They will maintain a good understanding of vacancies sources by ELOs and match these to suitable vacancies following the placement;

Support with the effective transition into sustainable and stable employment
Employer Liaison Officers will support the young person during the Kickstart placement to find suitable sustainable employment. This enables ELOs to understand employers’ needs to match suitable participants to employment opportunities following the Kickstart placement.
