The Finance Assistant will provide support to ensure the smooth running of the finance function in a school or Multi Academy Trust. They will assist the finance and administrative team in monitoring income, expenditure and maintaining good records. They will process invoices, record bank transactions, prepare tax documents and financial reports. They will also provide general administrative support.

Applicants will have good written and oral communication skills, high level of numeracy and meticulous eye for detail. They will be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. They will have an interest in a career in education, finance, administration or operations. The ideal applicants will also have an aptitude for budget-management and for using financial software/systems.

Monday to Friday 09:30 to 15:00 (half hour lunch break)

National Minimum Wage

A mentor from Edukos Trust will meet with the Kickstart employees on a weekly basis.
Kickstart employees will be assigned work on a day-to-day basis and will be assisted by a highly experienced member of staff.
Kickstart employees will be closely shadowed for the first few weeks, and then gradually given more responsibilities. They will acquire independence in carrying out tasks and duties.
Kickstart employees will also undertake training sessions that are offered to other current members of staff in the school.
A local training provider will support the trust in offering training sessions to Kickstart employees.
