As a Customer Service Assistant, you will complete all tasks and activities in line with your training, company guidelines and management directions. Adhering to McDonald’s standards of quality, service and cleanliness but specifically;
Quality – working in the kitchen and production areas ensuring that every order is prepared with care and respect before it is served to our customers. Whether you are preparing drinks, or assembling burgers, you will be hands on assisting our team to ensure that we deliver on our customers’ expectations.
Service – responsible for serving our customers, using our tills, or part of the team putting customers’ orders together ready to present at the drive thru or to our click and serve customers.
Cleanliness – It’s important that we display and deliver the highest standards of food hygiene and cleanliness and we expect all of our employees to take extra pride and care in what they do. Your responsibilities will include keeping your area clean and tidy and supporting the team to complete tasks as required and in line with our daily and weekly planned maintenance schedule. Adhering to all workplace safety, security and hygiene procedures and taking pride in your personal appearance.
Customer Service – It’s important to make sure that each and every one of our customers is valued and treated with respect. It goes without saying that you must be able to adapt to different types of customers, be patient, use positive and friendly gestures and most importantly be confident!

Flexible hours between 5am and midnight Monday-Sunday (Including overnight working between 10pm-7am)
£7.50p/h (16-20 Years of age) - £9.00p/h (21+years of age)
ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
We aim to support the long-term employability of any candidate through the kickstart scheme. Each employee will have a dedicated mentor who will guide them through the placement. McDonald’s have a comprehensive training scheme where each candidate will complete interactive e-learning and on job training. To support this and specifically the kickstart scheme, every new candidate will be issued with a ‘Little Book of Welcome’ which supports the applicant through their first few weeks of initial training and will also include additional employability training which will help to build skills, knowledge and confidence helping to secure future employment whether it be through us or another business.
In month one the focus will be on reflecting on the new skills they have developed in the first few weeks.
In month two the focus will be on communication skills such as listening, non-verbal communication and stress management.
In month three the focus will be on problem solving and preparing for such tests that are often part of any interview process.
In month four the focus will be on career management skills which will help prepare the candidate with CV writing and building their professional profile.
In month five the focus will be on team work and understanding what makes an effective team and where their personal strengths lie, and helping them to reflect on the skills they have learnt so far on the placement that could be written on their CV.
In month six in order for the candidate to demonstrate their new skills to a potential new employer, they will work on self-belief, personal experiences and self-management.
