Tamesis Dock is a permanently moored (sometimes) floating neighbourhood bar, live music and events space. We offer food, drinks and great vibes on a quirky, unique and colourful 1930s converted Dutch Barge. We offer fresh handmade pizzas and a variety of drinks from cocktails to pints. Tamesis Dock and her sister vessel, The Battersea Barge hosts a wide range of events and live music including bands such as Bastille and Local Natives as well as Brit Award after parties, comedy nights, theatre and weddings. Offering stunning views of The Houses of Parliament, The London Eye and Battersea Power Station as well as the birds, ducks, seals and cormorants that grace our shores, Tamesis Dock together with the Battersea Barge offer some of the best views that London offers. Its relaxed vibe with professional and friendly service attracts a variety of guests including locals, regulars, tourists and as a destination for those who know. One of our largest customer bases are the local offices and business which include MI5, MI6, The Houses of Parliament, local start-ups and the charities located in Charity towers in Vauxhall. We have a large variety of customers of all ages and personalities.

We are looking for Food and Beverage Assistants to join our team. The Food and Beverage Assistant will be supporting our main waiters and waitresses in the bar or kitchen to ensure smooth service. Main responsibilities include taking care of preparing and cleaning of stations, delivering food and drinks from the kitchen or bar to guests at the table or to a self-service area, ensuring customers are looked after and checked back on, clearing and cleaning. The Food and Beverage Assistant will also help with restocking and stock rotation. The Food and Beverage Assistant will develop customer service, time management and team member skills. They will also receive knowledge about food and different alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

SKILLS NEEDED
The Food and Beverage Assistant should have excellent food service skills, including the ability to carry plates and to deliver drinks on trays, the ability to work well with other team members and to follow directions from supervisors, knowledge of kitchen cleaning and pot washing equipment, such as industrial sinks or high-pressure hoses.

Please note the above is preferable but not essential as training will be provided.

WORKING HOURS
Monday through Sunday between 11:00 and 01:00

HOURLY RATE
National Minimum Wage

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
The Food and Beverages Assistant will be trained in completing their duties and have a mentor for the duration of service. They will also receive support and guidance from Floor and Bar Supervisors on site. Springboard Employability Training includes CV skills, interview skills, career goal setting, LinkedIn profile creation, timekeeping and teamwork.
