JOB SUMMARY
Trainee App Designer

Would you like to learn app design? We are looking for an enthusiastic junior designer to join our front-end development team. No experience, qualifications or skills are necessary other than a good eye for design and a willingness to learn. You will be taught modern UI (User Interface) design trends and techniques, how to prototype your ideas using wireframe tools and how to develop the application using a variety of software. The apps you develop will be for the Smart Home sector, a fast-growing industry with huge potential for future career progression.

SKILLS NEEDED
Preferred/Desired skills:

A can-do attitude.

A natural flair for art / design.

Comfortable behind a computer screen all day.

Good problem-solving skills.

Keen to learn.

WORKING HOURS
Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
The successful candidate will be allocated a Mentor who will be responsible for ensuring they are supported throughout their time at C3 Professional Services.

This support will include an initial induction to the company where the company rules, requirements and the job role will be fully explained. The participant will be given the opportunity to explain any alterations that maybe needed, such as start times, and also their career aspirations so that their Mentor can help them develop in specific areas during their time with the company.

From there the Mentor will ensure the participant receives the necessary training to develop their skills and competently undertake their role. This will include on-the-job training and any associated health and safety training required.

The Mentor and participant will undertake a formal meeting monthly to review performance and see if any further support is required.

If the participant is not offered a job at the end of the scheme the Mentor will ensure they are given support to find another role if necessary, which may include assisting with their CV, interview preparation or providing reference statements, etc.
