We are looking for somebody to join our studio to work as an Assistant Architectural Designer across a variety of exciting projects and commissions.

Preferably you have experience of working in an architecture/design studio or a strong desire and passion to work in a creative architectural environment. You should have or working towards RIBA Part 1 or equivalent as a minimum level of qualification.

As part of a small team you will work closely with the Directors, our clients and collaborators. You should be comfortable drawing with a pen, a mouse (Vectorworks, Sketchup and Adobe Suite preferred), and physical modelling.

You will receive regular day-to-day mentorship with a Director to grow and develop your skills and knowledge within the sector. You'll be office based within a small, friendly and fun team in the centre of Liverpool.

Collaboration is essential within the business and you will be involved in the weekly full team reporting meetings which run through all projects and case studies.

SKILLS NEEDED
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Strong numerical skills and confident with costings

Applicants should hold or be working towards RIBA part 1

A keen eye for detail and accuracy

Motivated to learn and develop

WORKING HOURS
Working pattern to be agreed at interview either 3 days per week (9.00 a.m to 5.30 p.m - days to be agreed) or over 5 days (Monday to Friday) hours to be agreed

HOURLY RATE

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
A co-ordinated Mentoring/Buddy Programme will be in place throughout the duration of the scheme. This has been designed to give support to Kickstart participants and facilitate engagement, personal development and peer mentoring

A bespoke Personal Development Plan will be agreed and this will be tailored for each individual to include personal, and job specific, learning & development objectives

Regular 1:1 meetings via phone or online in view of the current Covid safe working practices with each individual will take place to review progress and PDP. The wrap-around support package will be person centric and flexible in its approach. Contact can be up to 5 hours per week and out of hours support will be available.

A soft /core skills training package will be available for each individual i.e., business communication skills, CV preparation, interview skills, attitudes and behaviour for employment, customer service and IT skills

Some topics will be delivered to all individuals. Some will be dependent upon individual need and in conjunction with the Personal Development Plan.
