United Living (South) Ltd

Working within the learning and development team to support with review of the various training matrices across the group Work as part of a project team to agree on the standardised templates, cleansing of data and input all relevant data into the agreed formats. Engaging with the team and answering queries face-to-face and via phone/email. Adhoc support to the wider central services team. This position will help development of time keeping Microsoft Office skills communication project management professionalism and basic HR skills.

I.T Literate with a basic knowledge of Microsoft programmes. Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately. Good communication and social skills.

Between 08:30 17:00 Monday to Friday 5 hours per day

National Minimum Wage

All Kickstart placement candidates with ourselves, United Living North and DW Support Services will be given the following support to help them develop their employability skills. Line Manager each candidate will have a line manager to support and guide them, also to assist them in learning some basic employability skills such as communication, time keeping and building relationships. Induction The line manager will host an induction with their placement candidate introducing them to basic standards we expect as an employer, getting them to undertake some basic training and introducing them to key members of the team. Job Description- Each role will have a job description created for it, the candidate can use this to understand what is expected of them in the role and it helps them understand what employers look for in candidates. Pastoral support Each candidate will be in contact with a member of our HR team for regular contact, they will be expected to update them on their progress, key learning and if they have any points of concern they may wish to raise. This will specifically help them in developing their communication skills. PDR Personal Development Review- As an organisation we expect each employee to complete a PDR with their line manager twice yearly. This has been tailored for the Kickstart scheme, to focus on role and personal objectives whilst employed by us. This will start to help the candidates take ownership for their careers, looking at what they may want to achieve and what it may take to achieve this. Employability workshops Each candidate will attend our three part employability workshop it focuses on CV writing, job applications and interview preparation. This is hosted by our Social value team that are experts in employability skills. ELearning all candidates will have access to a suite of eLearning courses that are designed to develop personal and role specific skills. They will have access to this throughout their placement.
