eXPD8 is recruiting for Retail Merchandisers nationwide, who will be working on behalf of our many and varied clients to provide merchandising services within supermarkets and other retailers.
As a Retail Merchandiser you will be responsible for communicating effectively with in-store managers, restocking products on displays and building promotional display units.
We cover various types of retail including entertainment, grocery, health and beauty, and gift cards.
You may also be part of a team who gather local information and retail intelligence in the wider retail space.
Learning & Development
As part of the whole Learning & Development package, you will learn and gain valuable product knowledge of not only new lines, but also the life cycle of promotions, products and how they are displayed and replenished to maximise sales opportunities. You will gain valuable insight into how retail stands are maintained and updated including some of the latest developments and newest of innovations.
In return for your commitment and dedication to our programme, we pay £8.91 per hour regardless of your age, you will obtain valuable life and job skills via our training program – including teaching skills on interview techniques and CV writing, and if you complete the 6 months of the programme in full you will be given a Free Tablet Device (the one you have used throughout the programme) to Kickstart you career; Yes, it will be yours to keep at the end of the programme.
Experience in a retail or customer service role;Ability to follow written instruction accurately and timely; Comfortable using a tablet or mobile device; Comfortable working independently; Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
Monday to Friday, some weekend work may be required by prior agreement
ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
Throughout the scheme, successful applicants will receive on the job training, eLearning modules and webinars to support their career growth. Topics will include: retail merchandising basics, CV building, interview preparation, building strong business relationships, teamwork, attendance, time keeping, social media skills and etiquette. This will be co-ordinated by our internal Learning and Development team through eDUK8, our LMS. The successful candidate will be able to download a list of training they have attended and print certificates if they wish. Dependant on the stores they work in, they will also receive an ASDA, Sainsbury's or Tesco Accreditation. There is the possibility of the position becoming a permanent role.
