This new role represents an excellent opportunity to be part of a major Procurement transformation programme including adoption of new digital ways of working.

The role sits in the recently created Centre of Excellence (COE) team, which is responsible for overall governance, analytics, technology roadmap and supplier and contract management. It forms a key part in supporting the roll out of the Procurement transformation programme (Project Stride) which is implementing best in class processes, technologies and will soon commence a phased transition to a new operating model. This includes the implementation of a Buying Support Desk (a team of 2) and will be the major remit of this role.

The successful candidate will develop an awareness of leading Procurement processes and supporting technologies in a fast-paced consumer products environment and experience a wide-range of operating styles in a large public limited company

Numerate and articulate - Business related qualifications are desirable, such as an A Level or above (or equivalent) in a business based subject.

Competent user of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and Outlook.

The mindset to see problem resolution through to conclusion.

Good communication skills.

Able to prioritise tasks.

5 x 5hrs, 9am to 2.30pm including 30 mins lunch, Monday to Friday

National Minimum Wage

Employability skills training available in partnership with National Skills Academy - Food and Drink and Youth employment UK (Wraparound programme).

Includes 4 modules focused on employability skills, CV writing, interview skills, and creating transferable skills profiles, plus 24 bitesize online modules on personal and workplace development including topics such resilience, managing stress, dealing with conflict and disability awareness.

Option to also complete Food and Drink Manufacturing Sector specific training (NSAFD and FDF) and achieve the Readiness to Work in the Food Sector Certificate.


Training and skills development in using SAP and Ariba (a cloud-based innovative solution that allows suppliers and buyers to connect and do business on a single platform).
