Mersey Internal Audit Agency (MIAA) is a major provider of Internal Audit and Solutions services to over 70 NHS and Non-NHS organisations in the North West and beyond. MIAA is part of the NHS and operates as a successful shared service. MIAA is the predominant supplier of internal audit and related services across its region including Anti-Fraud, Technical Risk Assurance, Capital, and a Healthcare Quality support unit.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within for a highly motivated, accredited, Anti-Fraud Specialist with both client management and criminal investigation experience to support, on a temporary basis, the delivery of anti-fraud services to our clients across our North West client base.

The applicant must have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience of conducting investigations to a criminal standard.

This post is fixed term until the 31-Mar-2022, with the possibility of being extended.

Reporting directly to a Senior Anti-Fraud Manager, you will support the wider team in the delivery of proactive work and fraud investigations across a range of client organisations. You will have the freedom to act with autonomy whilst assisting the Senior Anti-Fraud Managers in providing a professional service to clients.

The post-holder will need to have a clean driving license and access to a vehicle, as there is a requirement for travel between client’s sites.

You will be required to-

· Work as a member of the Anti-Fraud Services function maintaining the highest professional standards.
· Take responsibility for the delivery of a portfolio of allocated Anti-Fraud work
· Conduct, as required, investigations into allegations of fraud.
· Deliver a full range of proactive anti-fraud work across the MIAA client base
· Report to Directors of Finance and other senior executives on a regular basis.
· Respond to a range of sensitive and complex queries from clients, external agencies and staff

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.
