Fixed Term Post for 12 months
The Department is looking to recruit Health Records Clerks to work as part of a team of clerks that retrieve notes from the records library, prepare them for outpatient clinics or in-patient admissions and ensure that they are tracked and monitored correctly throughout the Trust’s hospital sites.
The work requires the lifting, carrying and moving of paper-based records throughout each day, some of which are stored at floor level and others may be on higher shelves only accessible with stools or ladders. Collections of records and boxes may be heavy (up to 10kg). Records are stored in an extensive library and need to be located, processed and returned accurately and quickly.
The Healthcare Records Department is responsible for the management, storage and provision of records for all outpatient clinics and admitted patients at Andover War Memorial Hospital, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester.
