This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) leader to join our Organisational Development Team and contribute at a senior level within the People Division to help drive and progress our challenging ED&I agenda.
We are looking for someone with passion and commitment to creating inclusive and psychologically safe spaces alongside a high level of ED&I knowledge, literacy and experience. You will need excellent interpersonal and operational skills coupled with experience of delivering agreed outcomes. You will work closely with services, managers and key stakeholders across the entire organisation and together create, develop and inspire a culture of inclusion, where everyone feels heard, valued and has the opportunity to give and be their best self in the workplace.
Main duties of the job
This role is responsible for providing in depth diversity and inclusion expertise and advice, ensuring that advice provided is positive, proactive and influential in its contribution. Alongside the Trust Board, Chief Executive, Executive Directors and People Division, this role works in partnership to deliver both the service delivery and workforce elements of our Trust strategies and Equalities Work Plan to build on and accelerate our progress to date. The role will contribute to strategic and operational planning processes to create a sense of belonging for all.
The role holder is required to work collaboratively across the Dorset ICS on system-wide workforce and OD initiatives. This includes playing a key role in the Trust’s understanding and response to the needs of its diverse communities, developing key alliances and engaging with communities and external stakeholders to improve the experience of the diverse groups who access and work within our services.
