JOB SUMMARY
This post will give the opportunity to get experiences in several areas of care and aids to keep people living independently and there will be opportunities to take up training to enhance future job prospects.

Primary Tasks:

To assist in providing an efficient telephone answering skills for callers to the PARES Centre, passing messages verbally or by email to the other projects.
To meet and greet customers to PARES and the Independent Living Centre.
To ensure that all recording systems, calendars and room bookings are kept up to date.
Adhere to all People Matter IW Policies and Procedures.
To provide administrative support to the Senior Administrator and the PARES Officer.
To be able to scan and save documents and save them on the PARES System.

SKILLS NEEDED
A range of administrative or related experience, to include customer contact.
A professional, polite telephone manner with a focus on exceptional customer service showing awareness of the customer needs.
Experience of providing support to a number of people within a team environment, including vulnerable people would be beneficial.
Knowledge of Microsoft office Systems including Word, Excel, Outlook and Calendar would be beneficial.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
You will be involved in team events and meetings, we are a relatively small team so you will need to know what everyone does in case we need to pass on information to other projects. All of what we do needs a level of good communication skill whether it be on the telephone, face to face or by email, we have an office open to the public so we need to be able to communicate appropriately and efficiently.

There is the opportunity to take up as much training as you would like in many areas of care and working with people with disabilities and we will encourage you to take this as it will be free to you, we can also offer the full care certificate accreditation. We will also identify additional face to face training that will enhance the area in which you hope to move onto.
