JOB SUMMARY
Communicate and collaborate with the Dr Foxs team, including managers, team members, and other kickstarters (if applicable) to fully understand the business vision and goals.

This includes working 2 customer-facing shifts per week (Sunday and Monday) and 2 days working from home on Marketing strategy.

Duties will include:

Conduct necessary research to identify and understand our market and target audiences
Develop and execute an original, engaging, and appealing marketing strategy to inform the community about Dr Foxs Tearoom
Capture the eyes of prospective customers, and ultimately help us expand
Create and distribute original marketing materials that will appeal to target audiences
Reach out to potential audiences and partners, including other small businesses and community groups in the area as necessary, to build relationships and potentially include them in promotional events
Meet, greet and seat guests promptly and effectively showing awareness of customer types and seat sensitively
Take customer food and drink orders accurately, demonstrating excellent product knowledge and sales skills
Serve and clear tables
Demonstrate proactive service during customer visit: positively impacting on the customer journey wherever possible
Prioritise workload during high volume periods; effectively communicate own and customer requirements within the team, and seek and offer assistance where appropriate
Process payments effectively and accurately
Set up and Close Down effectively, including cleaning duties
Deal with enquires and complaints promptly
Understand and implement hygiene, legislation and health and safety policies
Keep up to date with training and legislation
Assist with all necessary stock takes
Attend Kickstart programme training

Due to local lockdown measure this vacancy will look to start mid May 2021

SKILLS NEEDED
Potential student studying Marketing or a recent graduate with a degree in Marketing
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
Previous customer service experience preferred
Must be an excellent listener and quick thinker
Must be creative, flexible, open-minded, and enthusiastic
Must be familiar with all necessary marketing software and all social media platforms.

WORKING HOURS
25 hours Sunday and Monday and 2 other days TBA

HOURLY RATE
National Minimum wage for 3 months, then a review for a possible increase.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
On the job training plus support from Weston Colleges Kickstart programme offering
Employability and digital skills training, a specialist employment tutor and access to well-being
and IAG resources.
The wraparound support will include the following training delivered over 3 hours a week for 14 weeks. Delivery will be classroom based but also with an online opportunity, ensuring that there is a study option for every learner, regardless of geographical location, with weekly training available.
Each learner on Kickstart will have an allocated specialist employment tutor who will support them on a weekly basis with their training offered by the College. The tutor will liaise with the employer at regular intervals (monthly as a minimum) to ensure that the learner has positive attendance, displays teamwork and develops communication skills (verbal and written). In addition, Weston College will support the learner with the following programme of support and qualifications:
