As a Teaching Cover Supervisor you will:

Provide in class support to teaching staff
Support small group tuition
Work with a cluster of personal tutors to provide pastoral follow up
Support interventions for learners e.g. chase attendance etc.

Candidate will need GCSE C or above or equivalent in English and maths, Level 3 or degree qualification

DBS and Experience of working with young people in either a paid or voluntary capacity would be beneficial

M-F ( M -T 8:45am-2:45pm with 1 hour lunch, F 8:45am -12:15pm


On the job training plus support from Weston Colleges Kickstart programme offering
Employability and digital skills training, a specialist employment tutor and access to well-being
and IAG resources.
The wraparound support will include the following training delivered over 3 hours a week for 14 weeks. Delivery will be classroom based but also with an online opportunity, ensuring that there is a study option for every learner, regardless of geographical location, with weekly training available.
Each learner on Kickstart will have an allocated specialist employment tutor who will support them on a weekly basis with their training offered by the College. The tutor will liaise with the employer at regular intervals (monthly as a minimum) to ensure that the learner has positive attendance, displays teamwork and develops communication skills (verbal and written). In addition, Weston College will support the learner with the following programme of support and qualifications:
