Bank Care Assistant – Walberton Place Care Home, Walberton, Arundel -Part of the Country Court Family

ABOUT THE BANK CARE ASSISTANT ROLE
Within the Bank Care Assistant role, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Your responsibilities will include:
Helping our residents with personal support and care
Aiding their emotional well-being and social needs
Serving meals/drinks and assisted feeding
Interacting with our residents on a personal level
Maintaining and developing the residents care plan to ensure their needs are met
Our fantastic staff are at the heart of our homes & provide vital day-to-day support to our residents. Having those care values is vital to share a happy home, so we would love to hear from those who really do want to make a difference to people’s lives.
Be no stranger to working long shifts
Have a friendly & caring attitude
Able to engage well with the residents and their families
Have strong written & verbal communication skills
Have an understanding of people with Dementia.
Experience as a Care Assistant is preferred but not essential
Have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social care is a great advantage or be willing to work towards this.

Due to the nature of the Bank Care Assistant role, you will need to pay £26.00 towards the cost of an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, prior to starting with us.
We operate COVID secure homes and have strict procedures in place to ensure the safety of all residents and staff. This includes Covid & temperature testing and wearing appropriate PPE, including a face mask to be worn at all times whilst on shift, unless medically exempt.
