An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Enhanced Health and Wellbeing EASE Service Senior Programme Manager to work across the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System.

The person we are looking for will need to have a depth of knowledge in the specialty of employee health and wellbeing and Occupational Health, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to engage with diverse workforce staffing groups and stakeholders, effective programme management skills, be familiar with the national and local People Plans and the specific programmes of work around supporting NHS staff in the workplace.

You will become part of a system workforce team who are passionate and committed about workforce wellbeing, employee engagement, and retention.

As the Enhanced Health and Wellbeing EASE Service Senior Programme Manager, you will be responsible for scoping, developing and implementing tailored processes and pathways to support early access to support for employees (EASE) for the two most common reasons for sickness absence in the NHS- musculoskeletal and mental health conditions.

The reason for the fixed term contract is due to the current funding availability for 1 year. Fixed term and secondment opportunities will be considered.

Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System have been successful in receiving enhancing health and wellbeing funding to implement a new EASE Service to deliver evidence based interventions across the system to enable the move from a reactive traditional Occupational Health service model to a preventative and early intervention approach building on the recommendations from the Boorman Review. The Early Access to Support for Employees (EASE) Service will seek to reduce the two most common reasons for sickness absence across the provider Trusts in the system by providing an early intervention service from day 1 of absence for employees working in collaboration with existing Occupational Health Services.

The Senior Programme Manager post holder will work as part of the system and local Occupational Health teams to scope, plan, develop and implement:
• A new ICS EASE Service which will deliver timely evidenced based early interventions working in partnership with existing occupational health services, the ICS Resilience Hub and place based pathways to support staff health and wellbeing.
• The project evaluation report which will inform the future ICS service model and support the improved growing Occupational Health Service model across the ICS.
