JOB SUMMARY
The Staff Canteen (a trading company of Chef Media Ltd) is looking for creative and enthusiastic person with an interest in digital marketing to join a small but fast-growing team which is leading the way in online chef networking and digital content.
This job will consist of some office work and some homeworking.

Main responsibilities will include
To assist in the planning, development and implementation of our Search Engine Optimisation strategy
To work towards organic Search Engine Optimisation
To regularly carry out thorough keyword research
To assist in the monitoring of redirects, click rate, bounce rate, and other key performance indicators
To assist in identifying our buyer/user persona to better target identified audiences
To assist in identifying problems and deficiencies within our digital marketing processes and suggest/implement solutions
To stay up to date with the latest Search Engine Optimisation and digital marketing trends and best practices
To positively promote the business to external and internal customers.
To attend via zoom or in person, once a week the editorial team meeting, where we discuss up and coming content as well as new ideas for The Staff Canteen. Everyone is actively encouraged to share their ideas at these meetings.

Work pattern and location
The actual days worked can be flexible but we would want the candidate to work full, set days which would to be agreed prior to commencing the placement.

The work pattern would be:
2 days in the office 9am – 5.30pm (with 30 mins unpaid lunch break) Office is in Basingstoke (Basing View RG21 4EQ)
3rd day - 9 hours will be working from home.

SKILLS NEEDED
Essential skills
A good grasp of written English

The following skills would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given
Have an inquisitive mind
An understanding of all aspects of digital marketing would be helpful due to the nature of the role.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
This induction process will be spread over the first few weeks, and is planned on a first day, first week and first month basis.
Induction (general) - Will be carried out on their first day by a company director. The general induction will cover: working hours, breaks, time keeping, company policies and staff social activities.
Induction/Training (on the job) – Will be carried out by a member of the Editorial/Social Media team. The content and duration of on the job induction programme/training plan will be dependent on the scope and complexity of the role, and this will be outlined in detail.
Mentoring – a designated member of the Editorial/Social Media team will be their mentor throughout the placement, who will work closely with them on a daily basis.
Employability training/coaching – this will be planned towards the end of the 6 month placement and run by a company director. The type of things to be covered will include: CV writing, Techiques and skills for face to face interviews and ‘zoom’ interviews.
External training courses (on-line or in person) – These may be offered by the company and will vary depending on the candidate.
