Role overview

(12 month FTC)

LOCATION: Newlife Store, Burton on Trent

FULL TIME: 42.5 hrs

At Newlife, our mission, simply put, is to change the lives of disabled children and their families. We provide access to the
vital equipment they rely on, offer information and support through our team of dedicated healthcare professionals, sponsor
pioneering medical research into the causes of birth defects and offer families a voice through our campaigns for change.

We are not like any other charity. All the stock in our stores is new, donated by retailers, allowing us to create a heaven for
bargain hunters and savvy fashionista shoppers who want high street products at discount prices.

What we do and how we do it is unique and being a “Newlifer” is very special. Our team members are passionate about what they do
and the contribution they make in helping the families we work with.

The Opportunity:

Working as part of a team this role has the responsibility for the supervision of a small team and the evaluation of donated stock
items to decide if the item should be recycled or re-sold and establish price points.

The role requires good communication skills, the ability to motivate and supervise a small team to use initiative and work at a
fast and accurate pace to ensure targets are met and stock is assessed correctly every time.

You will ideally have a great understanding of current fashion trends and market values. Making sure we get the maximum return on
all items donated to Newlife is important in ensuring that we can support disabled children and their families across the UK.

Key responsibilities:

* Supervise a small team
* Accurately assess suitability of items for sale through accurate evaluation of garment safety, product defects, seasonality and
potential value to customer
* Implement the appropriate recycling process where an item is ‘unsaleable’.
* Assess garment selling price.
* Work at pace to ensure targets have been met.
* Pre-retail stock in line with retail guidelines.
* Ensure stock is de-branded and labelled accurately in accordance with label management guidelines.

The Benefits:

You will receive 28 days holiday per annum, health cash plan membership, team member store discount, pension scheme membership and
of course the satisfaction of knowing that what you do is making a difference!
