Great Western Hospitals are currently seeking a part time Early Careers Advisor working within the Academy. The role is a Band 4 working 22.5 hours over three or four days.
You will be responsible for the coordination of work experience and early careers events within the Trust.
This is a great opportunity for a flexible and creative person who can work collaboratively to design, implement, deliver and evaluate events, workshops and placements which are appropriate for a range of audiences, from primary school children to adult learners.
The post holder must be able to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the post, including occasional evenings.
We currently offer over 200 placements per year to young people in and around Swindon and need an individual who will be inspiring and provide best practice to grow our service whilst working closely with the schools and colleges. We are about to embark on an exciting period with the review and re launch of our work experience offering at the hospital and need someone who has the skills to make these changes happen.
The post-holder will be confident in managing enquiries and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You should possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and have an ability to inspire and motivate young people. The right individual will have a confident telephone manner and excellent verbal and written communication skills in dealing with a wide range of people. Accurate record keeping and attention to detail are essential to the role.
