Summary

Key Accountabilities include:
• Managing the site engineering stores across the whole Bury site
• Managing inventories of process chemicals, bulk stock items and consumable items
• Managing the stores operation in line with the corporate Procure to Pay and financial processes
• Responsibility for carrying out inventory stock checks, issuing items, booking-out and managing stock items and consignment stock
• Line management of Stores Operatives
• Advising on procurement processes and support as appropriate
• Managing security of stores
• Managing housekeeping and safety of stores areas to a high standard
• Liaising with the Procurement team on corporately agreed contracts and framework agreements
• Raising purchase orders using JDE software and web-based systems
• Liaising with suppliers to obtain quotations, and to progress and expedite orders
• Resolving invoice queries

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS


Good IT skills with the ability to become an expert user of JDE and Web3. Good level of literacy and numeracy. Counterbalance Forklift license holder; or the ability and willingness to become trained.
Applicant is likely to have previous experience in a similar stores role, or in related roles such as warehousing, logistics, procurement or buying.
