The Nuffield Health Derby Hospital is a modern, purpose-built hospital with 38 en-suite beds, three operating theatres, and together with a comprehensive range of outpatient services.
The Radiology department is a small but busy department covering general radiographic procedures, theatre, ultrasound, MRI and CT.

As an experienced Mammographer you will be part of a team providing high-quality Mammography services working with a Siemens Mammomat Inspiration unit. Working as part of the diagnostic imaging team and referring clinicians, your job will be to deliver high-quality, patient-centred imaging services and support Breast one-stop clinics.
As a Mammographer you will also;
Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for Mammography within the department. Working with leading practitioners and experiencing new practices, equipment and facilities.
Assist with routine QA of Mammographic equipment.
Support one stop breast clinics and health screening.
Provide cover and support for other Mammographers.
Assist with departmental audits where required
Assist with stock control and the effective utilisation of resources.
To succeed as a Mammographer you will have;
High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail.
A caring nature - to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.
A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
A postgraduate qualification in Mammography.
Excellent communication and team working abilities.
