An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join an enthusiastic adult social care team based in the Central area of Northumberland within mental health.

Northumbria Health Care, Adult Social Care Team plan, deliver and commission a wide range of health and social care to meet the care needs of local people.

We are looking to recruit an experienced social worker who can meet our expectations of delivering a first class service to the people of Northumberland.

A strong commitment towards enabling and empowering adults to live independently.

You will be responsible for carrying out the full range of functions within the Care Act framework with a focus on facilitating self direct support with planned outcomes for service users.



You must have excellent assessment and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate at all levels.

As you work to provide a comprehensive assessment and risk management plan, you will benefit from a good balance of autonomy and support.

You will collaborate with a range of external services to access any resources required to meet the needs you have identified.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your caseload but will always have regular supervision and full support of your Team Manager.

It is essential that you have clear understanding of the care act and the local Authorities statutory duties.
