Summary


Wigan Specialist Community CAMHS wish to recruit a band 3 Health and Social care support worker to work with the team

The aim of the CAMHS team is to provide support to the young people in Wigan. The team will conduct a comprehensive assessments of young peoples needs and offer appropriate signposting and treatment as individualised care packages. CAMHS work alongside key partners including social care, education and voluntary sector to ensure young people have access to the right care at the right time

To work alongside and support clinical staff in the care delivery to young people experiencing a variety mental health and wellbeing concerns.

• Supporting CAMHS practitioners
• Support into the neurodevelopmental pathway will be a key part of this role

The role will involve regular travel across multiple sites in the North West boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust catchment area. Therefore the post holder must be able to meet the travel requirements of this post. Please indicate on your application how you meet this requirement.

This post is subject toan enhanced with children’s and adults barred listDisclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.













From 1stApril 2021 our Wigan, Bolton and Greater Manchester Services will transfer to Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust.

From 1stJune 2021 our Cheshire and Mersey Services will transfer to Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Successful candidates will therefore either commence with the relevant organisation if the start date is after the transfer date. If the start date is before the transfer date your employment will TUPE transfer to the relevant organisation.
