Baxter Thetford have an opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join our growing team for the Goods in and out service, with full accountability for all Warehouse responsibilities. Driving an efficient & effective warehouse for the facility you will lead the strategy, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Warehouse building a strong Safety & Compliance culture, influencing the right behaviours at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Liaise with internal and external customers, suppliers and transport companies.
Manage customer requests promptly and resolve issues quickly and proactively.
Collaboration with unit heads to ensure warehouse activities align with other functions such as production, engineering.
Develop and implement lean initiatives to guarantee continuous improvement in processes and to continually strive to improve and develop business performance by root cause problem solving to provide new solutions.
Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Implement and drive daily, shift production meetings with teams
Oversee the inspection and planned maintenance of warehouse vehicles, machinery, racking and equipment.
Co-ordinate and use IT systems to manage all stock inventories and deliveries and to evaluate performance and quality.
To ensure stock control inventories are always accurate and up to date through cycle count process, investigation of variances, and quarterly and annual physical inventories.
Plan and allocate resources for warehouse to ensure daily shipments are picked and shipped promptly following customer requirements.
Align and communicate with drivers and distribution centers to ensure efficient delivery of products.
Create a LEAN culture of world class warehouse management and best practices

A strong Logistics, Warehouse, Distribution / Supply Chain background
Have managed 15+ people and 2+ team leaders previously in a Warehouse / Distribution environment.
Have a proven track record in people management, people development and performance management with tangible examples.
IOSH certified (desirable - at least an understanding or examples of being able to increase workplace efficiency and manage risk and resources)
An understanding of 5S / Lean / Six Sigma.
