Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to work within the Leicester Hospitals Charity team.

Leicester Hospitals Charity exists to support patients, their carers; and the NHS staff who look after them in Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and beyond. We undertake targeted fundraising campaigns and effective management of donations, to provide additional resources, assets and skills which link closely with the strategic aims of University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust for the benefits of our patients.

The successful candidate will join us at a pivotal time working to deliver the Charity's strategy and will be an integral member of the team to achieve our stretching ambition to support the Hospitals to achieve "Caring at it's Best".

The Development Assistant role is an important link between the hospital charity and Major Donors, Trusts and Foundations and individuals. The jobholder will work with the Head of Philanthropy to support growth in these areas and help to manage stewardship through the charity's CRM database.

Key responsibilities of the role will include assisting the Head of Philanthropy with stewardship and solicitation of major gifts, assist with the support of major donor proposals and Trust and Foundation applications, help maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the fundraising database, support the marketing and promotion of campaigns and fundraising appeals and assist in maintaining appropriate levels of communication with existing donors

The post holder will require strong communication skills; the ability to work under pressure; experience in working with people face-to-face and virtually; strong organisational and administrative skills.
