…And right now, we are looking for a Pricing Operations Executive to join our Pricing team in an exciting time in Saga’s history. As a Group, Saga is taking to the seas in our brand new, luxury cruise ships and leading the market with innovative insurance and financial products.

You will be responsible for a carrying out in-depth testing of system changes and defects to a high standard to ensure the accuracy of the prices returned which will support the correct and quick deployment of changes for Saga Insurance.

Main Responsibilities

As a Pricing Operations Executive your top 5 responsibilities will be:

  • In depth testing of IT system changes and fault fix releases to ensure prices quoted are correct.

    • Ownership of fault diagnosis and resolution

    • Raising system faults through the proper channels as required and following through until resolution.

  • Standing for the needs of the pricing department at fault triage meetings to recommend faults for prioritisation.
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of data flow processes.
  • Carrying out daily checks on data import processes to ensure the pricing teams have the latest data readily available to them. Implementing any immediate fixes and/or escalating issues as required.

  • Assisting in the managing and tracking of progress of assigned projects from pre-development meetings through to post release testing.

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge and experience:

  • Experience in troubleshooting and investigating potential issues.

  • Knowledge of data manipulation languages such as SQL or similar.

  • Experience in user acceptance testing of system changes.

Education and qualifications:

  • A’ level/equivalent or higher in a mathematical or IT subject would be preferred.

  • Good GCSEs in English and Maths essential.

  • Working knowledge of Visual Basic an advantage.
